With the rapid development of science and technology, the transmission and storage of multimedia data have made tremendous progress and has become one of the important ways for people to obtain information. How to ensure the secure transmission of confidential information in the network has been paid more and more attention. Information hiding technology embeds the secret information into the carrier data and only shows the carrier’s characteristics to achieve the secure transmission of secret information. Therefore, the information hiding technology has become a research hot spot.The steganography algorithm for H.264video has been studied in this paper. After the introduction to basic knowledge of video information hiding technology and typical algorithms, the video information hiding techniques based on run-length encoding, trailing coefficient, and DCT coefficients have been studied. In this paper, the main work is as follows:1. A new video information hiding algorithm based on run-length coding is proposed. First, the block for embedding information is selected by the limit of non-zero coefficient and trailing coefficient, and then the relationship of the run value is modulated to achieve secret hiding ability. The extraction of secret information is implemented by the corresponding relationship. The simulation results show that the visual quality of the stego-video is good, and the video bit rate and the length of the stream are very small. Therefore, the tradeoff between the imperceptibility and the bit rate has obtained.2. Large-capacity video information hiding algorithm based on trailing coefficients is designed. First, the Logistic chaotic sequence is used to select the block for embedding information, and then the corresponding relation between trailing coefficient and the secret information is established by changing the number of trailing coefficient to hide the secret information. The extraction of secret information is according to the corresponding relationship. Simulation results show that the designed algorithm has a large hiding capacity while ensuring stego-video quality and bit rate.3. The residual DCT coefficient energy is used to select the DCT block for embedding secret information, and the information embedding are implemented by two information hiding schemes. The receiver extract information is according to the corresponding formula. Simulation results show that the two schemes can ensure the quality of the stego-video. Comparing with the existing schemes, the hiding capacity has been greatly improved.4. Choose appropriate motion vector for embedding information by setting deviation threshold. Secret information can be embedded by corresponding relationship between deductive forms of magic matrix and difference value of motion vector. Receiving terminal extracts information based on the relationship between difference value and magic matrix. Simulation experiment results shows that video quality is little changed with stable bit length and rate.
