| With the development of the microelectronics and integrated circuit manufacturing technology, especially the development of FPGA about the video capture and display system, which provides a new solution idea and method about the improvement of integration. FPGA-based digital video signal acquisition and display system is put forward in this context, as result of FPGA's strong logic resources and configuring the comprehensive utilization of chip resources, video capture and display system can be made for modular design.In this paper,ALTERA corporation introduce the series of cycloneâ…¡FPGA, and the chip's features, structure and configuration have done a detailed description and a brief introduction, the system design of hardware and software involved in the design process and FPGA's development experience is also introducede at the same time. Focusing on Studying the FPGA-based digital video signal acquisition and display system, the system is divided into a video capture module, video storage module, video display module in the design process. video capture module: Adoption of the I2C bus to confige the SAA7113 video decoder chip, after comeplete the configuration of the COMS camera ,which can capture the analog signal and is converted to 8-bit digital signal; video storage module: In-depth study of the working principle of SDRAM, the SDRAM will be designed to capture incoming video signals by SDRAM design,and with the SDRAM's reading and writing control timing complete the video signal input and output functions; video display module: which converts digital signal of YCbCr format into digital signal of RGB format, and design VGA interface control module and convert digital signals to analog signal through ADV7123 which is output to the CRT display.In the end, the video capture module, video memory module, and video display module are integrated into a system. Using professional simulation software on the system, as well as Modelsim and oscilloscopes to simulate and debug each module to verify the correctness of the model features and system viability, in the system design process, using Verilog HDL achieve the various functional modules,which can makes system with portability, scalability features. |
