| As the information age has come, more and more software-developing talents are in demand. It is the colleges and universities that are mainly responsible for providing such talents.The science of computer involves a lot and needs quick upgrade as well as much practice, while the national curriculum is characteristic of uniformanity, closeness and theoreticality, which is not adequate for cultivating student's abilities to develop software. That results in the present conflict between current education and social demand.To solve the problem effectively, it is urgent that there should be a immediate reformation in the computer education in colleges and universities, aiming at the society-oriented education.Curriculum is the key part of education, and it is in schools that education actually happens and curricula essentially work. Therefore, to develop diversified computer school-based curriculum according to the schools' educational philosophies and resources is an effective approach to solve the present problem in computer education. Developing school-based curriculum means that with the guide of national and local curriculum outline and in accordance with the schools' qualities, features and conditions as well as the available and explorable resources, the school members independently and voluntarily, or cooperatively with groups or mdividuals outside the schools, organize various in-school curriculum-developing activities in order to meet students' needs. It is a continuous and dynamic process. The computer school-based curriculum is dynamic, open and practical, which is an important supplement to the national curriculum.With many years' experience in computer teaching, researching and software developing in middle vocational schools and colleges and through the deep investigation into the software-developing technologies of database application system and into the school-textbook curriculum as well as related teaching theories, I have succeeded in developing the book C++Builder + SQL Server Database Development by one Example, combining the talent-cultivating program of Information Science and Engineering College of Zhejiang Normal University and the present teaching condition as well as the social demand. This research is based on the actual school-textbook-developing practice.What is fresh in the research is: it is the first time for our school to try developing the computer school-based curriculum and its success has prepared a new way for the colleges and universities to construct computer school-based curriculum; developing the curriculum in the environment model has enriched the computer course itself as well its teaching theories. |
