The Research Of Network Management System Based On SNMP

Computer network has already become an indispensable part of life gradually. Along with the development of Internet technology, enlargement of the scale of Internet and complicated of the structure of Internet, people realize the importance of network management. And the effective network management has already become an important measure of the network. Through the administrator carries on the effective network administrative system to collect and analyze the data of the network equipment that not only can receive the warning information of the network in time to solve the problem , but also we can get the parameters of the network of different time. Then the administrator can predict the development trend of the network, adjust the disposition of the network structure and guarantee that the information network is run reliably, steadily.This thesis has discussed the developing history of network management , the basic model of network management the relevant theories of the network management protocol, and the design of a network administrative system based on SNMP Protocol. In the design of this system, I have combined C++ to program and adopted WinSNNP API that Microsoft offers. The function of the system include: get the data of the network equipment in time; Obtain the database data of the network equipment; inquire the relevant network information; find the topological structure of the whole network; offer tools to Ping the network equipment.
