Research Of Video Capture System Based On ADSP-BF561

As the numerical information and the network technology have been rapidly developed, the embedded system is widely applied to life and produce, and the request for network as well as the multiplicity of transmission procotol and the real time application is more and more high. The video capture system plays a vital part of the economic and military, which is widely applied in many aspects such as intelligent traffic system and security system. The current video capture system has many characters such as weakness in stability,high cost and so on, which includes industrial PC and video capture card. The paper indicates the embedded video system based on the Blackfin 561 of ADI Company, which manages to capture video source from analogue signal.The paper introduces video system design,specific hardware design and some main aspects such as building the emnedded system platform and the video interface driver.According to the hardware architecture of ADSP-BF561 EZ-KIT Lite board, the paper indicates the system architecture and the datastream of video encoding system. The auther not only built the uClinux platform but also developed the PPI0 interface driver in order to capture the video source by using the interrupt mechanism,sleep mechanism and blocked I/O of uClinux.Finally, the auther tested the driver by developing a specific application program, which offers an avaible interface for the video encoding system.The contents of the paper include analysis and debug of U-boot,the uClinux platform development and the PPI0 driver based on interrupt drivern I/O mechanism, which prepare for using the new video encoding algorithm in this blackfin 561 system.
