Research On Wireless Alarm System For Oil Field Based On MMS

In the international background of high oil price, with the development of computer technology and wireless communication technology, realizing a new kind of practical oil field alarm systems become the urgent need of petroleum trade. In this paper we design a new wireless alarm system based on MMS. The system adopt ARM as the main processor,finish the digitization of video signal through high-performance CMOS picture transducer, the picture is then compressed by software and sended as MMS format, the supervise center receives the warning photo through the client software .Firstly, the whole structure and design method of the system based on public network has been put forward in the paper; then, scheme of alarm picture acquiring, compressing and transmission has been realized.According to the actual demand of the oil field alarm system, the wired network is unable to arrive the oil field, and does not need to transmit the continuous picture,we adopted MMS as the way to transmit warning picture information, introduce and analyze the MMS operation principle and system working tactics in brief. The system combine MMS,the GPRS wireless communication network and Internet network together , take advantages of the three technology, make a breakthrough at space extent and data transmission.Secondly, the hardware design of the system has been completed. Embedded ARM processor LPC2214 was adopted as the main processor to accomplish system tasks. Finish the digitization of video signal by high-performance CMOS integrated video chip MT9V111. Make use of passive infrared device to detect the alarm incident .In order to reduce the cost of system , at the area that the oil well is distributed intensively , transmit alarm picture data package by wireless radio frequency way , adopt RF chip CC1020 for short distance communications ,the picture transmit to data concentrator, then data concentrator transmit picture at MMS format via GPRS network; at the area that the oil well is distributed sparse, transmit the alarm picture by means of GPRS.Thirdly, the software design of the system has been completed. The overall procedure of the terminal software has been designed and realized by modularization method. Carried on detailed analysis of the software moduls, compressed the alarm picture by JPEG method which is one of the highest compression ratio method in still picture;construct the alarm picture as MMS format, send the alarm MMS to the email address of supervise center or the mobile phone of Person on duty . At last, finished the systematic debugging.Finally, Client software on PC has been analysed and designed, the function of picture receiving and SMS receiving and dispatching have been finished . At last form the intact oil field MMS remote wireless alarm system.
