| This paper mainly explores the principle and method of shortwave time service, introduces the functions of BPM time- code generator and expounds one of the FPGA realization methods of BPM time- code generator.As far as 80 years ago, wireless has been employed to transmit signal, which is characterized by a wide range of coverage, rather simple receipt and transmission equipment and comparatively low price. Nowadays in China shortwave signal is only used by National Time Service Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences for the purpose of time service. The BPM shortwave generator in use is based on separate component, whose complex circuit, large volume and difficult debugging have a direct influence upon the application of shortwave time service system. In order to meet the need of modern electronic design development, we put forward the suggestion that FPGA technology should be used to design new BMP shortwave time-code generator. The BMP time-code generator on the basis of FPGA technology increases the transmission of shortwave time-code without changing the transmission of BMP time signal and strengthens the function of shortwave time service. It not only has such advantages as high integration, small volume, high confidentiality, but also makes it possible for hardware, just like software, to be modified by program.While exploring the principle of BMP time-code generator and give a kind of design plan of BPM shortwave time-code generator which can generator time information code, this topic establish a development platform on the basis of QuartusII and NiosII, which can realize the mixed program of software and hardware. A method which combines external control circuit and D/A switch circuit with FPGA as its core is raised to realize the design of BMP time-code generator in this topic which focuses on analyzing the detailed realization process of EPGA internal module. This paper analyzes in detail the hardware structure of FPGA with NiosII as its core and the design of IP core of BMP shortwave time- code generator used for shortwave time service and finally gives software framework, test method, analysis result and its work target. |
