The technology of data acquisition and storage is extensively applied to radar, communication, remote sensing and measuring. With the developing of the measure and control technology, it is required that the data acquisition system is more intelligentize and networking. This paper introduces the embedded system which is entered into all kinds of instrument into the design of data acquisition system. It realized a high speed data acquisition platform which is portable, low power consumption, intelligent, networking, and its software and hardware can be changed adequately according to specifically measuring task. This platform can accomplish the task of data acquisition, processing, displaying and transmitting by network, moreover, it provides function of remote surveillance and control.This design use 32 bit ARM processor S3C2410A as the core parts of the apparatus. With some function models and interface circuits, and with the support of Windows CE . NET embedded system and application software, it realized field intelligent data acquisition server. The type of the field data the platform acquired includes analogue signals of voltage and current. The signal is acquired by leading end data acquisition module and then is processed by MCU, after that it is stored in memory or forever storage medium. When other host computers in the network need these data, they send request by browser to the server in the platform, then the server will transmit the data in web page by ethernet network to the host computers which sent the request. Moreover, in order to realize remote control and failure diagnoses, host computers in the network can set the control parameters of the platform by network.This instrument can play autocephaly role in the network. In the process of data acquisition, it can exert the key point function of the network and transmit information to everywhere the network exists. It makes real time, dynamic and remote data acquisition come true. Compared with the bypast data acquisition technology, it saves field circuits in large quantity and expands the area the system can reach. It makes easier to extending and maintaining the system.
