Today,there are many IM systems such as QQ, MSN and yahoo messenger.Because their protocol is not open,it is easy to form the isolated island of information.Jabber protocol breaks the situation that traditional instant messaging systems can't interoperate with each other,and promotes the unity of the whole instant message.According to users'demand,author structured the instant working platform for the small and medium-sized enterprises by the expanded system framework of Jabber and establishing self-defining expansion on the basis of the above-mentioned study on Jabber protocols and technology. This platform includs two parts, the Server and the Client.This server needs to run in the LAN of a enterprise,and it can be as IM server of a small and medium enterprise.The Client needs to run in the company.Experimental results show that enterprise instant working platform based on XMPP can communicate with other IM and the function of the expanded instant notice improves the working effciency of employee.
