The Research And Implementation Of Embedded Voice Gateway With Two VoIP Protocols

With the rapid development of IP technology, voice over IP telephone gateway acts as a bridge, which links the telephone network to Internet.It makes IP networks and PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) link up with each other.Therefore, we can use Internet to transmit voice, instead of the expensive long-distance telephone lines.So a new powerful communications network can be formed.This paper covers the following contents.Firstly,based on the overview of the associated background,the knowledge of VoIP protocols and VoIP gateway is introduced. It is of great significance to understand the research background and purpose.Sencondly, the VoIP techmology and the related protocols(such as H.323 and SIP) are researched and discussed in detail.Thirdly, the design of the VoIP gateway system is expounded.Fourthly, the features and the debugging methods of the selected embedded OS(operation system) are introduced.Finally,based on the hardware platform that is used in the design,the design and implementation of the hardware driver module and the way of software integration is instructed.And the test work of the gateway system was done.
