Design And Implementation Of Network Management Agent Simulator Based On SNMP

SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol,SNMP) is the most universal protocol for TCP/IP Network Management today,and has been the really industrial standard. and SNMP agent is the pivotal entity in the architecture of the network management. SNMP agent is a kind of software lying in the managed network devices,which can access their run-time status, system properties and configuring parameters. SNMP Agent is the middle interface between the network deveice and the manager software.In this article mail research network management system based on simple network management agreement SNMP network equipment agent and network correspondence between network management system,propsed simulate this kind of correspondence the method,and completes some network equipment simulators by this method the design and realization.This article introduce the basic struct of the network management and the framework of SNMP,we propose an agent simulator for SNMP,which simulates the communication between the agent and the manager through analyzing the device information form the MIB files,thus simulating the multi-manufacturer environment and satisfying the environmental requirement for the development and testing in network management projects.The result that is through test enunciation,the SNMP that realizes management act for basic match network management applied request.
