Instant information exchanging is exactly the instant messaging. With the development of instant messaging sofwares, many products like MSN, ICQ, QQ, UC, Popo are introduced to all over the world. The reasons for the fast development of instant messaging softwares are coming from different aspects, and the most important one is that the distance between persons is narrowed by instant messaging softwares. People can communicate with each other easily and files can be conveniently shared and got by using instant messaging softwares. But popular instant messaging softwares mainly focus on the functionalities of entertainment to the commons, while employees in many corporations are forbidden to use such softwares while they are working and studying for that reason. So it is important and meaningful for the corporations to develop and implement an instant messaging system deploying in the LAN environment.This project is brought out by the Electric Corporation of Guizhou Province Puan County. Based on its layout of operation development, an instant information exchanging system in a LAN environment is needed. An instant messaging system is designed and implemented by communicating with the Electric Corporation of Guizhou Province Puan County and analysing their requirements.This article mainly focuses on the following issues:①Combining with the prevailing functionalities of instant messaging softwares, discuss the system requirements with the Electric Corporation of Guizhou Province Puan County, meanwhile, the feasibility analysis is put forward based on the requirements of the corporation.②Adopts C/S technologies: By analysis the system of LAN, this project chooses C/S structure which more satisfies this enterprise.③Combining with the requirement analysis, the architecture of the systen is design to a three-layer C/S frame. Meanwhile functional modules are illustrated at both server side and client side, extensibility of the system is considered as well.④Database, system bootup module, administrator operation module at server side, user operation module at client side are fully designed and implemented combining the total design.⑤A test bench based on the requirement is built, and several functional test are taken in this test evironment. At last, comes the conclusion and forcasting of this project.
