With the rapid development of telecommunication industry in new times, the application of Intelligent Network and Softswitch technology in the communication system is more intensive, while the implementation of calling service function is one of important goals of Softswitching. Therefore, to establish a good call model is not only taking supporting for basic communications capabilities into consideration, but also ensuring the supporting of the new expansional services.The existing call control model aim at some particular protocols,the most influential of these models is the Basic Call State Model(BCSM) which defined by ITU-T standard in Intelligent Network Capability Set 2 (IN CS-2). Half-call model is put forward in the Model.In the traditional Softswitch call control model, the functions of sending route and services triggering exist in both sides of half-call model. Existing Intelligent Network call model can achieve the basic needs of call function to realize traditional services, but with the multi-service requirements in modern communication system, such as new mobile services and new features of the traditional services would not be realized or be more complex.In this paper, starting by the call control model of Intelligent Network,firstly, the key technologies of Softswitch and Intelligent Network is summarized,then comparing the architecture of mobile core network and network element functions,the improvement and optimization of traditional call model of Intelligent Network is put forward in this thesis to achieve the supporting of multi-service in Softswitch system. According to the idea of Finite State Machine (FSM), event-driven mechanism is designed to implement effecient processing of service message. Without affecting the support of traditional services, new mobile services and new features of the traditional services are added to be supported in improved model. Also, parallel call of call queue system for improved model is researched and tested. There are two areas of innovation in this paper:(1) For the realization of the new mobile services and new features of traditional services, mobile core network architecture is used for reference in this paper, then the function of GMSC is introduced, also the related sub-module is designed to achieve the function of sending route and services triggering which are realized dispersively in original Intelligent Network half-call model.(2) The designed sub-module follows the ideas of Intelligent Network and Softswitch. Also, the call detection point (DP) and point in call (PIC) are designed in sub-module,then, according to the idea of Finite State Machine (FSM), event-driven mechanism is designed to complete the service triggering function. Mostly, services and call testing are designed to verify the performance improvement of the call model.Finally, in the corresponding simulation test environment, new mobile services and new features of the traditional services are tested to be supported well. Also, parallel call of call queue system for improved model is tested to verify the packet loss rate of system decreasing to some extent and call performance is improved.
