| Textile Industry is one of the major industrial field in our country. Being the No. 1 textile industrial country in the world, China gains the accumulated advantage not only in textiles, garment production, but also in trade and others. China's textiles have the certain competitive ability in the international market due to the relatively low labour cost and the comparable advantage in the varieties, qualities of the products through the technology renovations in the previous years. But China's textile industry still keeps the role as the huge 'processing plant' among the international textile industry. By the means of study and develop textile new materials, textile new machinery, high-class dyeing and printing final finishing technology, create production brand and so on, the Europeans, American, Japanese and Korean control the top pioneer products in textile industry. They earn the high monopoly profit for the final products in textile industry.More than 50 years of the post war, the traditional textile industry experienced a series of important evolution in the technology revolution during a wave after another in the restructure of the world technology revolution and globalization . Three up-grade waves had been taken place started from cotton industry, chemical fibre industry and then garment industry. At present, America uses the resources of abundant information networks and the strong logistic network to develop itself from the garment textile to the tri-textile (garment, decoration and home textile) as well as the information textile. Being the representative of the Europeans, Italy relied its perfect design system, fulfilled the evolution from the chemical fibre textile to the garment textile; Japan and Korea have already started marching to the garment field from the chemical fibre field. And we are still in the phases of the cotton textile and the chemical fibre textile. The more trouble thing is the unsatisfied level of the production for the high-imitate chemical fabrics together with the final finishing. It is urgent to have the industry being up-graded.As the main important traditional textile production basis of our country, Changzhou has a long history in textile garment. It formed a rather competitive advantage especially throughthe coming 20 years' opening and renovation. It is gradually becoming the important basis both for the textile garment production and the export processes. In the content of the , the new textile garment is being as the key point for the development. In the of Changzhou and the expected planning for year of 2010, new textile garment is also listed as one of the fourth supporting industrial in Changzhou. But in 21 century, the external situation that the textile industry faced had been changed a lot because of the changeable happenings taken place in science and technology day and night. How can Changzhou's textile garment industry be merged into the developing trend of the international one? Whether it can be transferred from the traditional to the modernized one and continuously make new contribution to the national economic and the society? How do we solid the name of Changzhou as the textile well-known city like before through the duration of studying and developing the new textile materials? My personnel comment is that only with the method of absorbing foreign advanced technology and pioneering new technology, to speed up the developing and utilizing of the textile new material together with the new technology in the field of information textile and new textile materials, that we can strive for the restructured international textile industrial position in the circle of the world textile industry at present. In this way to promote the up-grading of the textile industry.This summary is prepared based on the investigation and study of the development situation in the textile new materials industry at home and abroad, especially of Changzhou's, it analyses the urgency, the feasibility and indispensability of the development for the textile new materials in Changzhou. To find out the advantage and the existed problem after the analysing towards some enterprises in the field of Changzhou's textile new material.
