Aiming at keener international competition and challenges to enter WTO, Chinese petroleum industry is face to severe test. Some multination corporations, such as Shell Oil Co., Exxon Corporation ,have entered into oil-gas development in china. After our oil price puts into orbit round international oil price, the fluctuation of international oil price directly affects benefit of Daqing oilfield.Along with oilfield development, the oil production will be steadily declining, the water cut will be steadily rising so that the production cost will rise according to the rule of oilfield development. As an oilfield production company, the higher petroleum cost of Grape oilfield in Daqing oilfield affects its overall economic efficiency. What kinds of technologies and managements should be adopted to develop it more economically and effectively? It should be resolved immediately in order to increase the overall economic efficiency of oilfield development.This paper analyzes deeply factors affected the economic limit of oilfield development using theories and ways of modern economic management, such as, economic limit, economic efficiency by analyzing development status quo of Grape oilfield and establishes the critical production limit model, investment limit model, cost limit model, economic limit model of ineffective production of single well based on existed research results and development status of Grape oilfield, establishes the economic limit of Grape oilfield welding together quantitative analyses and qualitative analyses and using model mentioned above by systemically analyzing investment structure and cost structure of Grape oilfield, puts up some suggests to increase economic efficiency during oilfield development of Grape oilfield. All of these provides oilfield administrators with new ways to increase economic efficiency and carry out scientific management. Not only is the research result significative to Grape oilfield, but adaptable to other petroleum enterprises.
