The Analysis Of Regional Economic Development Differences And Sustaining Development Path In Fujian Province

The diversity of region economic development is the difference that people put up in economy, politics, culture and other aspects during their social activities. Since the reform and opening-up, the regions in Fujian province shows great differences in area economic development and the trend is growing larger and larger for the reason of own history situations, economic foundations and other aspects. All is the necessary results of the unbalanced economic development in Fujian province.Fujian province must try its best to solve the problem of the up-growing differences among regions for it is a comparatively intact geographical unit. So the dissertation first lucubrates the differences among regions in Fujian province from the quality to the quantity, from the portrait to the landscape, from the elements to the configuration, and so on. Then the specific analysis about the differences by single and comprehensive indexes, the reasons of the differences will be discussed which include geographical surroundings, policy environment, economic structures, investment quantities and transportation conditions. In the end the ways and strategies will be put forward to boost a harmonious development among regions in Fujian province.The innovations of the dissertation are that firstly, a comprehensive index system is designed to analyze the differences of region economic development among Fujian province which includes 12 indexes with the latest 5 years of economic development, society progresses and resources and environment evolutions; secondly, a demonstration is made about the situation of the differences among regions in Fujian province after using complete and systematic data; thirdly, a path is explored to promote a harmonious development in different regions in Fujian province.Because of my own science level, time limitation and data available, the dissertation falls short of several aspects: It needs to be discussed that whether the index of per gross domestic product acting as the index of the economic development differences is ideal or not; the index appraisal system needs to be perfected; the appraisal index of the economic development differences lacks tests from other methods.
