The Research On Securitization Of Electric Power Assets

The rapid development of national economy asks for development of electric power industry desperately. As a kind of capital asset with long investment-recycle term , less liquidity, electric power construction program need to extend financing channels imminently to form a diversified system for electric power investment.Based on asset securitization theory, this paper researched on securitization of electric power assets, and proposes a financing method to deal with the lack of funds for electric power construction, promote the development of electric power industry and in the end promote rapid development of national economy as far as the inconsisitent supply-and-demand status quo for electric power is concerned. This paper made discussion in four aspects.First, this paper expounded the necessity of securitization for electric power asset ,relative concepts and national researches.Then it summarized the experience we could get from securitization for electric power asset abroad and the feasibility of securitization for electric power asset in our country. The third part put forward a mode designed for securitization of electric power assets, indicated the problem existing in implementation of securitization of electric power asset now and gave a suggestion and made a conclusion at last.The basic viewpoint of this paper is : to carry out securitization of electric power assets will be meaningful in China.As the gradual improvement of state policy, law and industry management, it will be one of the most important modes of investment and fund-financing in diversified system of electic power investment and will have electric power industry of our country entered a new phase of vigorous development.
