Research On Farmers' Choosing Behaviours In The Course Of Agricultural Technology Spread

"Scientific technology is the first productive force". This is a scientific judgement of Marxism. The practice proves that agricultural structure adjustment, agricultural efficiency enhancement and ecological environment improvement have to further depend on agricultural science development. A lot of investigation data show that since China adopted open-up polity, many achievements in agriculture have been made. Even many of them pass through the evaluation and receive prizes annually. But most technologies haven't been spread in time so as to lose its significance of spread. Both the agricultural technology spreading ratio and popularity ratio are rather low. What most efficient measures should be taken to convert the potential productive force into realistic force? We know that the productive transformation in the spreading course of agricultural technology is just one aspect of the problem. It's not a premise. To solve the problems which couldn't be solved ever requires farmers change their behaviours. To improve the technology spread ratio demands to do a lot of research on technology-chosen behaviours of farms, which directly restrict agricultural technology spreading speed and ratio demonstrated by various signs strengthening to do some research on technology-chosen behaviours of farmers in the course of agricultural technology spread and finding the reasons hindering the farmers' choices can effectively adjust agricultural policy, improve agricultural technology spreading ratio and achieve agricultural modernization.This paper makes use of the survey on the technology-chosen behaviours of farmers in five villages and towns of Hubei province and do research on the behaviours of farmers in the agricultural technology spreading course analyzing the factors which affect the technology-chosen behaviours of farmers so as to put forward some relevant measures to improve agricultural technology spreading system.This paper falls into four parts: the first part is a summary statement. This part above all demarcate the concept of agricultural technology spread and expound the relationship between agricultural technology spread and its spreading subjects, characteristics, models. Then based on the definition of technology-chosen behaviours of farmers, the pert analyzes the characteristics of technology-chosen behaviours of farmers and their choosing space limitations and furthermore points out some problems existing in the technology behaviours of farmers in the course of agricultural technology spread. The second part expounds the basic form of agricultural spread at the grass-roots level and analyzes in detail current situation of agricultural technology spreading system pointing out some problems existing in the agricultural spread system at grass-roots level. Finally based on different characteristics of different periods of time, some corresponding developing ways are pointed out. The third part offers an analysis for the choosing behaviours of farmers under agricultural technology spreading system. This part above all introduces the investigation situation for the status of technology chosen by farmers in five villages and towns of Hubei province, analyzing factors in detail affecting the choosing behaviours of farmers. Then from the aspects of farmers quality, psychological characteristics of farmers who adopt science and technology and information transmission channels, the part analyzes the relationship between the above-said aspects andtechnology-chosen behaviours of farmers. The fourth part covers how to make the agricultural technology spreading system better. This part respectively puts forward corresponding measures for different roles of governments, technology research and development organs, the working staff of agriculture technology spreading system based on the analysis of three above chapters.
