| Based on Economy increase theory, Economics of Development theory, Economics of Region theory and Economics of Competitiveness theory, Region Competitiveness is defined some competence that one region is able to make full use of and assign its resources , create better advantage and more competitive advantage during the national and international competition than other regions.Followed in the principles of scientificness, systematicness, bynamicness, manipulation, and the paper designs an evaluation indicator system on region competitiveness. The indicator system is composed of economy power competitiveness indicators, industry competitiveness indicators, open-to-foreign competitiveness indicators, public facilities competitiveness indicators, region management and sustainable development competitiveness indicators. The paper analyses these indicators, i.e. descriptive analysis. As a whole, the present competitiveness in eight regions in China is weak and unbalanced. At largely, the present competitiveness of the regions to sea is better than the others, but the future competitiveness of West-north, West-south, East-north regions are better than that of the regions to sea. At the same time, the paper takes an example for researching the competitiveness values of the eight regions at Factor Analysis and Linear Regression Analysis by SPSS .The Factor Analysis that can use five public factors , instead of thirty primary indicators, to evaluate region competitiveness and obtain the remark of the competitiveness value. Based on the remarks on region competitiveness indicators by Factor Analysis, we make Linear Regression Analysis on 29 indicators of eight regions. The competitiveness value does correlate with the Science and Technology, Education, Open-to-Foreign, Public Facilities. Consequently, the regions should emphasize whole development, on the basis of special development, in order to increase region comprehensive competitiveness and international competitiveness of our country. |
