Mass customization is a production mode that yields products to meet individual customers' needs according to the cost and time in mass production. The mass customization theory has become the new source of the vitality for the manufacture industries. But in current research, the questions of how to handle the relation of the cost and time and how to meet customers'need quickly through shortening assembly time have not been research thoroughly.Firstly, this paper has been studied the methods of dividing products into different modulars and the assembly sequence planning(ASP) which is the foundation work of time optimization. Based on the post research,the dividing modular mothed and the ASP for shortening assembly time are put forward.In this paper, Pre-Introjection Technology and the assembly line balance of assembly to order are important points.Pre-Introjection Technology can shorten time while controlling the costs.For assembly line balance, Based on the comparison of the branch-and-bound algorithm and genetic algorithm,assembly line balance in assembly to order mode in the Xi' an XiKai interprise can be better solved by improvement genetic algorithms.In the end of this paper,the questions which needed to be continued to research are pointed out.Through thoroughly rearching on the time optimization for mass assembly customization,the paper has important theory and actual meanings to improving assembly process and meeting individual customers'needs quickly for manuture enterprises.
