As the financial reform goes deeper, state-owned banks commercialize comprehensively, and the competition between banks becomes fiercer. On the base of traditional transactions, the intermediate business has been an important instrument to occupy market and win customers.The decision-makers of banks are familiar with the financial business, while they have less idea of software technology comparatively. The paper was written for the high-level decision makers to acknowledge the techniques roughly. It introduces the development and the basic theories of intermediate business techniques, and predicts the possible trend of intermediate business techniques development.The thesis consists of four chapters.In chapter one, we compare the domestic and foreign intermediate business in different fields, such as business area, income level and service resort. Then the situation of technical trend of intermediate business is discussed.In chapter two, we introduce three technologies of intermediate service according to their appearance orders, including customization development, system integration and intermediate service platform. It focuses on explanation of their theories, application situations, advantages and disadvantages.In chapter three, we analyze two mainstream auxiliary technologies of intermediate business: front-bank system and middleware. In practice, these two techniques are usually applied in combination.Considering the characteristics of intermediate business, the overseas technical development trend and the exploration done by domestic banks, chapter four predicts three possible directions of intermediate service technical development: comprehensive front-bank system, multithread, and online service.
