The intermediate business of commercial bank is defined as the business which consists of the bank's not non-interest incomes but does not take into account of assets and liabilities of the balance sheet of the bank. The development of capital market and the interest rate and the opening of the service price bring the patterns of low risk developing .This makes the intermediate business become increasingly important.The Heilongjiang Branch of China Construction Bank (HBCCB) has made a great effort to expand the intermediate business and has completed successfully in the intermediate business plan. However the HBCCB is facing up great difficulties to develop intermediate business. It faces to manage the principle to fall behind in the developing intermediate business, the weak cost accounting, the unreasonable product structure, the price lacking the competition ability and the shortage of product marketing efficiency. On the base of studying the background and the situation in HBCCB, it recognized the problem of HBCCB in developing intermediate business and pointed out the significant strategic value of intermediate business for HBCCB to increase profit, reduce risk and consolidate competitiveness. Base on above mentioned, the policies for HBCCB to further develop the intermediate business have been bought forward from the internal management points of view. These five policies include strengthening the ideal of the management, improving the management of cost accounting, intensifying the new product development, adjusting charge rate and the marketing management. At the same time it has to guarantee the policies from developing mechanism, developing strategy, organization structure and the foundation work.It is hoped that this thesis can help HBCCB to solve operating and management problems and provide references for other commercial banks in developing intermediate business.
