Study The Regional Image's Problems In The Course Of Development Of Regional Economy

With regional economy developing to a senior stage, the regional image's impact on regional economy is more and more obvious, just like fund, technology, labor, regional image has already become a key element condition of regional economic development, a sum of intangible assets. So I think it is necessary to study regional image's problems further in the course of development of regional economy.On the basis of domestic and international reviews of regional image research, in view of existing situation that the theory circle have not really study the substance of regional image from economic angle, this thesis puts forward that the essence of regional image should be analyzed in depth in terms of public economics, and thinks the regional image is a kind of pure public goods at the junior stage of development of regional economy, is a kind of club goods at the senior stage of development of regional economy, these opinions deepen the understanding of regional image's connotation greatly.The theoretical foundation of regional image-molding should not be confined to corporate identity system(CIS), this thesis extends the foundation to additional two theories, system theory and information theory, which also support regional image-molding. The thesis expatiates on the procedure in regional image-molding. Meanwhile, I think there are mainly three conduct subjects of regional image-molding, the public, enterprise and government. Among them, the public are executors of regional image-molding, enterprises are the decisive factors of regional image-molding's success or failure, the government is a institution provider of regional image-molding, also a main propellent.This thesis also analyzes the external economies and external diseconomiesof regional image, thinking the good regional image has external economies effects and the bad regional image has external diseconomies effects, what is more, the external economies and external diseconomies of the regional image can be transformed each other.Aiming at the actualities that much importance was attached to molding but little to maintenance in the course of regional image-molding, guided by theories of institution economies and externalities, this thesis thinks the government must strengthen regional image maintenance, and presents eight ways which the government will adopt, taxing or penalty, financial subsidies, government regulation, trade organization supervision, registered trademark protection, protection of appellations of origin, license system, strengthening regional image education, these measures open up a new perspective of regional image maintenance.
