It is in the 2004 that electric power development is the fastest in our country history, according to the calculating in advance, in the 2005, the total capacity of electric power will add about from 65 million to 70 million kilowatts to that of the last year, the end of the year total capacity of electrical energy will overtake 500 million kilowatts .In the 2006, the total capacity of electric power will add about from 75 million to 80 million kilowatts to that of the last year. Wuhan Kaidi Electric Power Co. Ltd. whose operation and the scale of power investment are closely linked, is affected by the electric power investment along with the industrial policy of environmental protection, so it is confronting with the tremendous development opportunity. At the same time, since the fact that it is ease to enter the industry, the intensity of competitiveness among firms increases quickly. How to research the strategy of oneself and find the right market positioning and make the development target on the base of condition of itself, relating to the corporation's survival and development in the intense competitiveness market.The article basing on the analysis of macroeconomics, the electric power industry history, present and future situation, taking account of effect that The energy resources of our country together with industrial policy of environmental protection, forecasts the capacity of market. The author has used SWOT analysis means and the BCG Matrix and the GSM to thoroughly look into competitor and dissect the corporation internal environment. In the end, the article suggests that the corporation should choose SO strategy. Depending on the powerful advantage of oneself, the corporation should gripe the gold period of electric power development in several approaching year and utilize the intensive strategies to penetrate and develop the market to go on maintaining the advantage of flue gas desulphurization. At the same time, the corporation should adopt the joint venture and combination strategies to develop the new market and enlarge the market share in the clean coal burning power plant and domestic rubbish treatment and power generation projects.
