The theory about enterprise core capabilities, which combines the relevant theories of the management and the economics, is one of the latest research results, derived from the advanced theories which try to improve the enterprise sustainable priorities including the strategy management theory, the knowledge economic theory, and the innovative theory. After the introduction of the world-wide latest research results of the core capabilities theory, including the background information, concepts and characteristics, and the management of core capabilities, this essay plays an emphasis on how to identify the core capabilities of an enterprise by use of the value-chain analysis method. Based on the developing history of Wuhan KaiDi Electric Power Co., Ltd., and the current nation-wide conditions of the environment protection industry and the electrical power building industry, guided by the core capabilities theory of modern enterprise strategy and tactic management, consulting the forecasting analyzing materials of the environment protection industry, the electrical power building industry , and the regeneratable energy industry made by the relevant academic research organizations, this essay is to analyzes the potential advantages on resources of Wuhan KaiDi Electric Power Co., Ltd. and the faced or would-faced problems by KaiDi, and put forth some preliminary advices on how to foster the core capabilities and then attain the sustainable predominance position in the industry in the future. This essay is comprised of 4 sections, and the main content of each section follows: Section 1, the introduction of the enterprise core capabilities theory, introduces and compares the relevant research results of the theory, including the background information, theory characteristics, and how to foster the core capabilities.and introduces some methods to identify the enterprise core capabilities, emphasizing the value-chain analysis method. Section 2, the analysis of relevant industries, includes the analyses of the environment protection industry, the electrical power building industry, and the regeneratable energy industry. Section 3, the introduction of Wuhan KaiDi Eclectric Power Co., Ltd., introduces the company and the potential opportunities and problems faced by the company. Section 4, the analysis of the core capabilities of KaiDi, analyzes the current core capabilities of Kaidi, and puts forth some practicable advices on how to foster more core capabilities and attain sustainable predomination in the industry.
