Under the environment of new economy, all the enterprises faced a rapidly changed competition. Along with the development of the theory of supply chain management, global purchase becomes a main business of international operation. The charm of global purchase impels more and more enterprises dived into it. In the global purchase, it is very important to know how to effectively manage the supplier. First, the article illustrates the strategies of the enterprises under the environment of new economy. With the broadly used of global purchase, more and more enterprises understand the limitation of the management system and the method of supplier selection. This article mainly concerns the problems of global purchase, including supplier selection processes, evaluation processes and criteria, evaluation method and so on. The study is based on the auto lighting industry. Then, this article analyzes the challenge of purchasing business under the environment of global purchase, including the changing of purchasing status, the spread of purchasing function and so on. It is very important to set up an evaluation system to supplier selection. The article establishes an evaluation criteria system, and defines the evaluation processes. Global purchase has a very great influence on every enterprise, especially auto lighting industry. Challenges are together with the opportunities. Based on the analysis of the origin reasons of global purchase, this article put forward some strategy to face the challenges of global purchase. At last, the article gives an example as PHI's purchasing business. Through analyzing PHI's purchasing business, it detailed analyzing the supplier selection index and operation problem. Through analyzing the characteristics of supplier selection, using integrated supply chain management conception, it discusses how to establish selection group, manage supplier, evaluate supplier and integrate the selection process. By the end of this article, it illuminates that we should study more and more problems about the supplier selection.
