Six Sigma Method Practice Study On G Company's Supplier Evaluation Mode Process

Since the 21 century,with the changing macroeconomic environment of enterprises in the fierce market competition,the profit margin of enterprises gradually declines due to the rising labor cost.The development of information technology and the rise of modern logistics industry make the global supply chain gradually formed.The automotive industry is taking the lead in the process of global supply chain.In that context,in order to avoid quality problems which cause huge impact on the entire supply chain or high complex recovery processes and costs,the supplier evaluation model and process research become more and more important.This paper will take G company's supplier evaluation model and process improvement as an example to analyze and study existing supplier evaluation model defects and process problems.G company is a typical multinational auto parts company that rapidly expands global sourcing and global supply along with the growth of the automotive industry in the past decade.G company's supplier evaluation model and process are facing a number of issues with the rapid business expansion and the application of global supply chains.Therefore,the evaluation of G company's supplier model and process improvements not only in the theoretical or in the practical applications have great practical significance.Based on a large amount of data and references,this paper analyzes and explains the issues of G company's supplier evaluation model and process by using Six Sigma DFSS method to collect customer's voice(VOC).By the way of KJ method to analyze and define customer demands.The QFD method is applying to convert customer demands to product functions,product functions are convert to design features,finally design features are convert to process features.After FMEA analysis the improved supplier evaluation model(based on VDA6.3)and process are setup.After all the validity of G company's supplier evaluation model improvement by using Six Sigma DFSS(Design Six Sigma)method is proved by improvement effect analysis.Through the research on G company's supplier evaluation model and process under the Six Sigma DFSS(Design Six Sigma),not only can improved the supplier quality and purchasing performance of G company,but also hopefully can provide reference and guidance for many other companies in a similar situation.
