Research Of The Developing Strategy To Weifang Export Processing Zone

Since China reformed in economic structure and opened to the world, a greatprogress has been made in the processing trade. The processing trade, which becamethe main trade method, has exceeded the general trade. The aim to establish the exportprocessing zone (EPZ) is to strengthen the management of the processing trade,improve the industry cluster and set up the pillar industry. This thesis wants to have aresearch on the developing strategy of EPZ to do some good for Weifang EPZ.This thesis does a study of the following points: Firstly, the theories in theindustry cluster and the way to industry cluster were set forth, and then a study wasmade into the problems and countermeasures of improvement in the industry cluster.Secondly, the aim of the establishment of EPZ and the existing and developingconditions were expounded, then the developing foreground of EPZ was conductedand some suggestions were made.Thirdly, from pan-yellow-ocean economic zone to Japan, Korea and Jiaodongpeninsula industry base , an analysis of the exterior environment of Weifang EPZ wasmade. Then an analysis of internal conditions was made from agriculture and keyindustry, to the imerging economic technique development area of Weifang. Lastly, based on SWOT analysis of Weifang EPZ, a total developing strategywas set up. And some suggestions of branch strategy were put forward, for example,standard management , efficient services, grasping the chance of internationalindustry shift, projecting the speciality of agriculture, promoting the processing tradeupgrade and attracting foreign direct investment.
