Research On Transformation And Development Of Yangtze River Economic Zone’s Export Processing Znoes

Stretching over our country, the Yangtze River Economic Zone has unique advantages and great development potential. It has the strongest comprehensive strength and it is the largest regional strategic role in China. Since 2000, the state council approved set up the first export processing zones in Shanghai Songjiang, and Suzhou Kunshan, the Yangtze River Economic Zone has been set up more than 30 export processing zones. As some of the export processing zone transformed, so far, the Yangtze River Economic Zone has 22 export processing zone. With the change of economic environment at home and abroad, the function of the export processing zones is more and more complicated, the existing functionality has restricted the development of the export processing zone. Moreover, due to the development differences of the three regional, the development of the export processing zones in the Yangtze River Economic Zone is also different. Export processing zones in the Yangtze River Economic Zone are in urgent need of transformation and upgrading.However, a national strategy that the Yangtze River Economic Zone’s development strategy is put forward, China(Shanghai) free trade area in Shanghai, the "tap" of the Yangtze River Economic Zone is producing overflow effect. The two things is bringing new opportunities for the development of export processing zones. Therefore,how to combine the present development situation of export processing zones in Yangtze River Economic Zone, docking their demand with the Free Trade Zone, to determine the Zone’s transformation and upgrading direction and development strategy is a very practical value subject.To realize the present development situation of export processing zones in Yangtze River Economic Zone, this paper not only summarize the overall development of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones, but also objectively analyzes the development environment of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones with SWOT. In addition, this paper systematically evaluate and analyze the operationperformance with the factor analysis method, then summarize evaluation results. At last,this paper summarizes five problems of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones. In terms of the five problems, this paper designed a transformation pattern,the transformation path and the function orientation. Finally this paper put forward five countermeasures and Suggestions for the transformation and development of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones.This paper uses several methods such as comparative analysis, theory and empirical analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis, in order to make the article has a strict logic and hierarchy. The full paper is divided into six parts. Part one introduces the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad of export processing zones and Yangtze River Economic Zone. The second part defines relevant concepts and related theories of export processing zones. The third part summarize the overall development situation of Yangtze River Economic Zone‘s export processing zones. The fourth part using the SWOT analysis method objectively evaluates the development environment of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones, at the same time,it using the factor analysis method makes a quantitative analysis of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones through data collection and processing. Based on the comprehensive evaluation, this paper raises five major problems of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones. On the basis of the present problems of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones, combining with the successful experience of Taiwan export processing zone and Kunshan export processing zones, the fifth part proposed a transformation target mode of Yangtze River Economic Zone ‘s export processing zones, to lay a good foundation for raising transformation countermeasures. According to the five problems which the fourth part raised, and the transformation mode the fifth part designed, the sixth part put forward five corresponding development countermeasures.
