As China Telecommunication has experienced several split-ups and regroupings,there has appeared a competitive situation in which a few comprehensive Telecomcompanies with relatively balanced power are competing against each other. In viewof the rapid development of telecommunication technologies, the introduction ofcompetitive mechanism and increasingly narrow space for an ever greater number ofcustomers, the Telecom companies have found it more and more difficult to obtainexcessive profits. All these reveal that an age of low profit has come for the Telecomindustry. This paper is conducted from this prospect, investigating the outer marketconditions and inner competitive situations in which CNC Ltd. Tianjin Branch islocated. Thus future developmental strategies and marketing tactics are established forCNC Tianjin Branch. What is more, some proposals are put forward concerning howto maintain competitive advantages in the market development.During the formation of this thesis, some theoretical tools and models areemployed to make a concrete analysis in view of practical issues. For instance, in theprocess of strategic research, SWOT analysis is borrowed. During the discussion ofmarketing tactics, a framework of 4Ps theories is introduced for explorations. Thenwhen analyzing the pricing policies, the author uses the model of prisoners' dilemmain the Game Theory in order to find out the reasons behind the price wars wagedbetween different Telecom companies. Next when dealing with the price and value ofthe products, the author elaborates on some suitable pricing policies for CNC TianjinBranch by means of setting up a relational model of price and value.The creativity of the present paper mainly lies in the fact that the author is able tocombine the strategies and marketing theories learned to make an overall analysis anddiscussion concerning the developmental strategy and marketing tactics for CNCTianjin Branch , in which the author works. The discussion centers around how toimprove the competitive abilities for the core of the corporation. The thesis alsomakes a deep and systematic study regarding the positioning of the marketdevelopment, the brand strategies and the developmental strategies of Broad Band. Itis sincerely hoped that by presenting the thesis, a combination of theories andpractices may be achieved and contribution may be made toward the understanding ofthe related field.
