An Analysis On Tangshan Exporting Trade Development Strategy

Tangshan, an important open city located in the Bohai Sea Economic Circle,honored as "The Pearl of Jidong" is now taking the lead in the economic growth ofHebei province. Along with the accession to WTO, China's economic growth hasbeen greatly pushed forward by its fast development of foreign trade. Under suchgreat circumstances, Tangshan foreign trade, especially in its exporting field, isbecoming more and more important for the optimization of the city's, even the wholeprovince's economic structure and the promotion of national economy. A survey ofrecent years, however, shows that Tangshan's foreign trade development, especiallyits exporting sector, is getting more and more unsuitable for the region's advantagesboth in resources and location. Studying and working out new strategy for thedevelopment of Tangshan foreign trade is now a task that brooks no delay.Adhering to the principle of being realistic, using the way of quantitative andqualitative analysis, the thesis tries to find out the problems existing in thedevelopment of Tangshan exporting trade and bring forward the tactics aiming atcertain field on the basis of the analysis of Tangshan's exporting environment and itsdeveloping situation in recent years. The thesis also tries to put forward the tentativeplan of establishing a modern exporting base in Caofeidian in line with the advantagesand opportunities Tangshan possesses both domestically and abroad.
