In the past twenty years, significant social and economic changes have created and providedopportunities for women, and business world inside has provided them greater acceptance andadvancement chances. However, enduring stereotyped gender differences are still predictor ofcognition toward leadership style. Male dominated leadership style is still regarded theyardstick of leadership. The polarization of leadership put negative impact on women, menand the whole company.Based on the framework of "Yin and Yang", panegyrized by Confucianism and Taoism,together with the study on differences between two genders, the author holds that in 21stcentury, androgynous leadership is more conducive to advance efficiency and competence ofcompany. Androgynous leadership style emphasizes integration of advantage of women andmen. The implication of androgynous leadership is promoting diversity. Meanwhile, withgreat changes of society and economy, promoting androgynous leadership becomes anecessity of company. Moreover, the author offers numerous recommendations toorganization, government and individuals for improving interactions between women andmen in the workplace, finally to maximize utilization of women and men's value, which is themain motive of this thesis.Empirical research and literature-based analysis are taken together to prove the hypotheses.And the research is conducted in forms of questionnaire and interview among freshmen ofSchool of International Business Administration, and among Chinese employees of Hill &Knowlton International PR Company. The concluding part summarizes the findings of thestudy, points out the limitation and offers some suggestions for future study.
