High-technology enterprise is s economic and technological system which gains benefits by using factors including people, capital, knowledge and equipments to make high-technology products or services through the course of R&D, manufacturing and marketing. Led by developed nations, since 1970's many high-technology enterprises have been founded and some of them have grown continually to be powerful. Now the competence of high-technology enterprises of a nation almost equalizes the power of her. It is of great importance to push Chinese high-technology enterprises to grow quickly.As a type of enterprises, the high-technology enterprises have the same phenomena and the same character with other type of enterprises but they also have their own. Focusing on the growth of foreign and domestic classic high-technology enterprises, guiding by general theory of growth of enterprises, on the basis of summarizing theory of growth of high-technology enterprise, this thesis has the comments as follows: the growth of high-technology enterprise has three courses which are "founding and introductive growth ", "deep and stable growth" and "innovative and multi growth".During the course of founding and introductive growth, the main problems are the shortage of managing experiences and capital of the founder so it is the micro-environment including business Incubator and high science and technology park and venture capital that will be of great help.During the course of deep and stable growth, the main problems are how to attract person with ability and to make them efficiently work and how to operate successfully so the setting of organization, mechanism of incentives, enterprise culture, innovating of enterprise operation is the key to these problems.During the course of innovative and multi growth, the main problems are how to innovate in technology and to reforming the organization to meet the multi-growth so it is the sustaining from outside, the proper model of technology innovating, reforming of organization that will solve the problems.
