Research On Iron And Steel Enterprise Production Cost Management System Based ERP/MES

With the implementation of enterprise information system in iron and steel enterprise, the traditional production cost management can not adapt to the enterprise's new requirement. The iron and steel enterprise production is a complex process, which is both discrete and continuous. The production process is a flow mode in the smelt working procedure, and yet it changes to a discrete mode in the machining procedure. The complex production process and diversiform production category makes the cost management difficult. Take a view of the cost management trend of the domestic and overseas iron and steel enterprise, the implementation of enterprise information system and decision-making system is the uptrend. The integrated cost management system is one of the choices, which can share the information with other systems and provide the timely and exact cost information for the enterprise.The paper does some researches as followed. Firstly, bring forward the cost management mode based on ERP/MES under the theory research on the Activity-Based Cost accounting method, Standard Cost control, ERP principle and MES elements. Secondly, design the operation model and the information alternation model, which is integrated with ERP and MES. Thirdly, design the system under the model research above. At last, design and develop the production cost management system for Dongbei Special Steel Group Co. Ltd.The production cost management system which is under the enterprise information system structure has several characters. Firstly, it is integrated with ERP and MES. The departments of the enterprise use the uniform platform, which avoids the information island and makes the information shared and integrated among the departments. Secondly, it realizes the real-time cost accounting function and provides the timely cost information for the enterprise. Thirdly, it makes the cost accounting more accurate and rapid. Then the standard cost control system may acquire the credible data support. What's the most important is that the production cost system provides the timely and exact cost information platform, which makes the cost analysis and forecast convenient and also optimizes the production cost management.
