Wuhan Industrial Cluster Study

Industrial cluster is a kind of economic organization which is based on complete and perfect cooperation between inter-associated and inter-dependent enterprises and institutes, as well as strong external support. It is energetic industrial system created through long term of production and it has become the inevitable tendency in economic development in the world. In a sense, the current international competition in economy is in fact competition among industrial clusters. Abroad Silicon Valley, "Third Italy" are typical represent which is based on the feature of industrial cluster. Economy of developed provinces like Guangdong and Zhejiang in China, boosted by industrial strategy, is developing prosperously.Based on the theories established before, firstly, this dissertation analysis the current situation of condition, classification, structure and function existing in Wuhan's industrial clusters;secondly, it study respectively the advantages and disadvantages existing in Wuhan's traditional industrial clusters and the high science and technology industrial cluster, it's advantages mostly focus on a number of aspects, such as geographical location, talent education, trade technology and size, it's disadvantages existing in domains, such as formative mechanism, value chain, service system, innovation ability, the role of government;finally, it holds a strategic proposal in respect of "incessantly increasing conglomeration", "fasten integrated development" and "establishing a ecological development mode", and provides seven practical measures, such as "perfect the legislation to promote medium or small enterprise and private enterprises development", "guided by law to strengthen erection of industrial clusters services system", "systematically scheme to establish interdependence industrial system", "create conditions to suitable advance strengthening infrastructure construction", "system innovation to promote scientific and technological resources into productive", "concentrate our strengths to improve vocational education system", "renewal conception to government bring into full play the positive role", which will have great effect tostrengthen Wuhan's industrial competitive, upgrade Wuhan's place in the whole nation's state of economy, and even to promote rise of middle China.
