A Study On The Urban Industrial Ecological Design Of Jia Yuguan City Based On The Cycle Economy Theory

With gradual acceptance of the sustainable development conception and consistent expedition of urbanization, the urban sustainable development, especially the sustainable development of resource-based cities, has been paid more and more universal attention. Due to the simplistic industry arrangement and unbalanced structures, the existence and development of cities rely heavily on the natural resource exploration, which is evidently leading cities to their declination when the resources are exhausted. Therefore, the problem of how to realize the sustainable development of resource-based cities has demanded prompt solution of the public, enterprises and governments.Taking the mineral resource-based city of Jia Yuguan in Gansu Province as the example and making a breakthrough at the point of core enterprises by applying the method of ecological design, this thesis has carried out a deep-going discussion and study on the sustainable development of the resource-based city. It has presented the necessity and feasibility of urban industrial ecological design of Jia Yuguan city as well as the focus of its future urban industrial ecological design from various angles such as the overall level of industrial development, relevancy analysis of industries, features of resource and energy consumption, the current foundation of urban industrial ecological design, the sustainable development index and environmental loading ratio of environment-economy system of Jia Yuguan city for the recent 6 years.Centering on the core enterprise Wine & Steel company, the whole urban industrial ecological design successively deliberates 3 levels, core enterprises, industries complex and city circles. With relation to the actual conditions of Jia Yuguan city, the thesis finally analyses the meaning of urban industrial ecological design of Jia Yuguan city from the perspective of ecological environment function, social function and economic function, and puts forward a few practical and feasible measures, which may serve as a guide both in theory and practice for other similar resource-based cities to expanding the service life of city resource and realizing their sustainable development.On the basis of deep analysis and research of urban industrial ecological design in Jia Yuguan city, some conclusions have been drawn as follows:1. Currently numerous resource-based cities have witnessed resource exhaustion,ecological environment deterioration and hindrance to urban sustainable development. Under such situation, ecological design, as a brand-new design concept and transition of the economic growth mode, has undoubtedly become the effective way for realizing the sustainable development of resource-based cities.2. Typical ecological design is only confined to single product. However, with the gradual development of the ecological design theory and practice and by grafting the previous product ecological design theory on the cycle economic theory, ecological industrial theory as well as the geographic space concept, the ecology design has gradually expanded from the design of single product to the design of industrial cluster, even the design of industrial system of the overall city circle layers, that is, the elevating of ecology design aspect.3. The major part of industrial system of the resource-based city has been set up around certain core enterprise. This unique feature of the industrial system determines that the ecological design of resource-based city must be strictly carried out around the core enterprise and the whole design should manage to stress the important points and the sequencing.
