Speedy construction is one of the key factors in modern railway's building. People in this field thought that the time limit for a project is so pressing, since our country entered a boom time of railway construction from 2003. Only 2 or 3 years time is given to one project.Wusholing special-long tunnel is the determinative part of second Lanzhou-wuwei railway project, which is the longest tunnel through mountains in Asia, with the whole length 20050 meters. The limit time for it is 44 months, especially time for the first track tunnel is only 32 months. So facing complex geology and bad work situation, how to make sure the construction speedy and effective becomes the determinative point of management in this emergency background.The owner reformed traditional project managements, introduced many advanced technique skills to make sure construction could be done with safe and quality, in time and economically. The author took part in the whole Wushaoling tunnel project's construction management, summarized the speedy building management experiences, which may be spread to help.The paper analyzes systemically Wushaoling special-long tunnel, stresses on researching owner's organizing management model, the design and construction blue print "long tunnel to pieces to bore", dynamic management, and mentions some other measures to make project effective as well, such as technical support, safe and quality control, check-up, prompting and administration affairs. From the summarization of this project, this paper concludes the key points for Chinese special-long railway tunnel construction management, may be a practical reference to other project in the future.
