Since the later 1990s, some social and economy problems are becoming seriously in company with the rapid economy growth and the proceeding of urbanization. Among these problems, the "San Nong" (agriculture, countryside, peasant) problems and the urban-rural income disparity are regarded as realistic threaten to the stabilization of our society.This thesis is expected to probe into the possible results of the income disparity in rural China, summarize the characters of farmers' income, such as mechanism of changes, regional characters, changes of growth supporting point, related policies. Then draw constructive experience and advices for the development of rural areas, especially for improving in income of the poor, reducing urban-rural income disparity and regional difference, finally arrive at harmonizing development between rural and urban areas. The author arrive at the aims by comparing the farmers' income of different period of time and different areas, decomposing the differences into intra-region and inter-region, also explore the contributions to disparities from different sources of income.Conclusions of this paper can be summarized as follows:1. Different bases and different growth rate promote the changes of regional income patterns directly. There are distinct gaps of income and level grads from the East, Middle to West China. The disparities among three regions and the inter-region difference in East China have a dominant contribution to overall regional disparity of rural China. The proportion of contribution of the intra-region is rising, so, the Middle and West Chinese rural areas should be supported for their poor self-develop abilities.2. Difference in income structure also has a pronounced spatial character. It is the direct reason for income inequality. Income disparity between the East and the Middle-West is embodied by the wages income, especially the earnings from local enterprises. While nonagricultural activities in hinterland are in a slow growth, and can't satisfy the demand of employment which can improve their income rapidly. Regional industrialization is the effective approach to optimize the income structure and improve the income level.3. Whether the urban-rural income disparity expanding or reducing has a good relation to the growth rate of farms' income. Urban-rural income disparity also has a spatial character, and has a nearly adverse location with the rural income distribution. East China has a high income level and a slow expanding urban-rural income disparity, but in some areas, a Poverty Belt Around Metropolis emerged. In Middle and West areas, the big income gap between urban and rural areas is in company with the low level income of farmers.4.
