In recent years, as the giant of the western economy, the economic development of Shaanxi Province in good shape, the new century economy to maintain double-digit volume growth for 7 years, the living standards have improved so much. But the different resource endowments and geographical differences for years results the income gap within rural residents becoming apparent in Shaanxi Province.The object of this paper is the rural per capita net income in Shaanxi Province. First, analysis the income of peasants in different geographical trends during different time periods, and to study changes in the composition of the source of the income of peasants. Secondly, study the income of peasants in Shaanxi Province and regional by the Theil Index and the Gini Coefficient. And by the decomposition of the Theil Index, find out the main contributor who is impacting the income of peasants. Finally, determine the variables that affect the income of peasants, through regression analysis to identify significant factors, and factors affecting the interpretation of time series.Through the income of peasants of Shaanxi Province, the paper arrived at these conclusions.First, since reform and opening, Shaanxi Province, a significant increase in overall income of peasants, and the different periods show different growth trends. And the Shanbei area drive up the largest, Guanzhong area is the second, the last is Shannan area.Second, the income of peasants of Shaanxi Province is gradually reduced, and it is contrary with the increasing of China's income of peasants. The income gap of farmers in Guanzhong area is much higher than the other, and it is a major contributor to the income gap of peasants in Shaanxi Province. We found the gap between the income of peasants in Shaanxi Province is the main factor in the gap between the income of peasants in various regions.Third, by regression analysis, we know the Total Investment in Fixed Assets is the main factor which caused the income gap of farmers In Shaanxi Province. Comparing the trend of the Total Investment In Fixed Assets of various regions and Shaanxi Province in different times, we know the Total Investment In Fixed Assets has a great impact to the rural per capita net income.
