Research On Ordering Policy For Hospital Blood Bank With Stochastic Demand

As a preciously scarce resource, blood has an important influence in people's life. At the same time, the hospital blood bank, one subsystem of the whole hospital, will take effect on the whole hospital's operational performance and the industrial competition ability according to its management validity. This thesis studies blood inventory management with a view of hospital blood bank, which aims to find blood optimal order quantity and optimal order period that maximizes total expected profit of the hospital blood bank with stochastic demand and perishable useful-life.At first, on the basis of introducing the research background and meaning, chapter 1 summarizes the research status of blood inventory management and common inventory management, especially the perishable product's inventory, and then points out the main research contents and methods.The key work in chapter 2 is to introduce the information of blood and clinical transfusion, analyze the characters of hospital blood bank and the related inventory management theory, and then provides several traditional inventory control methods with no perishable and perishable useful-life of blood under constant demand concretely and compares them each other.Chapter 3 is the key of this thesis. Firstly, the single-period newsboy model with random demand is established on the basis of describing the inventory problem of hospital blood bank with no perishable useful-life. Secondly, ordering policy for perishable useful-life of blood is depicted and the reasonable hypotheses is confirmed, based on this to establish the system multi-period mathematic model with stochastic demand within the blood useful-life limit. At last, the hospital blood bank's optimal ordering policy is got through mathematical calculation and related characters of the optimal ordering policy are analyzed.In chapter 4 mainly to simulate the system model with NUMERICAL ANALYSIS and COMPUTER PROGRAM and analyze it.
