With the further development of global economic integration, competition among the world's enterprises has developed into co-opetition to achieve win-win partnership under the expanded market environment.This dissertation will probe into the effective co-opetition strategies instead of pure competition for the long term development of COSCO Container Lines (hereafter abbreviated as COSCON) with the basis on COSCON's transformational competition mode and focus on the improvement of COSCON's competency, which takes the latest competition concept-co-opetition as the theoretical tool and closely combines the industrial environment and the current status of COSCON. The first chapter of this dissertation introduces the research background, contents and framework.The second chapter touches upon traditional competition and co-opetition concepts as the theoretical base for the subsequent analysis.The third chapter makes in-depth analysis into the current co-opetition status of the international liner industry and the industrial trend.The fourth chapter analyzes COSCON's present co-opetition strategy and its existing problems.The fifth chapter probes into the external environment and the necessity for COSCON to implement the co-opetition strategies and the strength and weakness of COSCON for the purpose of a rational formulation of the co-opetition strategy.The sixth chapter concentrates on the concrete strategies to be taken by COSCON, ranging from the overall strategy, the objective of strategic cooperation, the selection of cooperation modes and partnersto the analysis into the scheme formulation, selection, implementation and process control with the anticipation to provide valuable reference for the sustainable development of COSCON.The seventh chapter includes conclusion and suggestion.
