The paper introduces and then analyzes the two non-classical mathematics methods: the rough theory and the cloud theory. Then it includes that the two theories are the intelligent mathematics methods which are complementary to each other. We can resolve some qualitative problem such as land suitability appraise, through bring them together.The paper introduces summarily the land suitability appraisal, including definition, process, principle and some traditional methods , furthermore ,it analyzes and comments on them .It talks over the advantage and the disadvantage about every method, and indicates the scope they apply. At last, it forecasts that the future of the land suitability appraisal is the intelligent one.The paper take the land suitability appraise of Qionghai as a sample, using the method that combine the cloud theory and the rough theory. Based on the sample, the paper makes out a system about the basic method and basic model, at the same time, the system can carry out the model about the land suitability appraise using the cloud theory and the rough theory. According to the result, the paper compares the new method and other traditional methods, and takes a view about the future.
