Assessment of land sustainable use is an important issue in land-use research, for its features, which deserves relative researches. The land-use in mining city not only differs from traditional agricultural, forest and pastoral areas, but also differs from modern cities, for the influence of environmental disturbs, resource depletion and efficiency decrease, which is unique in environment, economy, society and development of mining areas. So it is important to analyze influential items on land use. And assessment model can be established on the basis of these items which can provide as scientific basis for the implementation of land sustainable use.As a new data mining tool, rough sets theory has special attribute reduction function, attribute importance principles and principles rules which can make reasonable assessment of the target.Base on the features of land in resource-exhausted city, comprehensive evaluation indexes are selected, including environment, economy, society, mining areas. And the standard grading principle and land use assessment model of resource-exhausted city are also established. Manipulating the rough set theory and relative theories based on data fusion, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of environment, economy, society, and mining area has been made. Take Jiaozuo for example, sustainable land use assessment from 2005 to 2009 has been made, and the assessment result is basically consistent with the reality.
