Study On Rural Power Demand And Countermeasures In Zhejiang Province

Rural power has played a significant role on rural economic and social development. The electrization level has become an important index to weigh whether the rural area has reached the well-off level or not. To realize the well-off target by 2010 in Zhejiang Province, the rural power construction must be highlighted and strengthened. The study on rural power demand and trends is not only beneficial to the rural power market development, power capacity improvement and the supply and demand equilibrium of rural power, but also related to social stabilization, economic development and the enhancement of people's living standard. Therefore, study on rural power demand has vital meanings for economy and politics.Based on the actual status of rural electricity consumption in Zhejiang Province from three main aspects, e.g. agricultural production, residents' life and rural industry, this paper makes an analysis on the main factors which influence the rural power demand. According to the historical data and growth of rural power demand in Zhejiang Province, this paper adopts the Elasticitycoefficient, Regression and Grey methods to forecast the future rural power demand of Zhejiang province, as well as figures out the reasonable numerical value. Facing the rapid growth of rural power demand, this paper analyzes the future situation of rural power supply and demand. It also puts forward some countermeasures to solve the supply shortage and existing problems of rural power in Zhejiang Province. It suggests that the power construction, rural renewable energy development, Demand Side Management and the rural industry restructure should be strengthened, under the precondition of environment protection and resource reasonable utilization, to realize not only the supply and demand equilibrium, as well as sustainable development of rural power, but also the rural economic sustainable development in Zhejiang Province.
