Study On Tibetan Ecotourism Development

There is a conflict between Tibetan tourism industry development andenvironment protection. It can be resolved by developing ecotourism which can notonly promote Tibet where abundant with ecotourism resources advantages to anincreasing development in tourism industry but also facilitate its protection onenvironment and natural resources, that is a perfect unity of Tibetan tourismeconomics development and protection on resources and environment. Now Tibet isdropping behind in its social economics and civilization. How to develop ecologictourism, and how to achieve a sustainable development in tourism industry andecological environment, would be the key task for the article. Ecotourism is sustainable development oriented, and grows along with ourintrospection on the negative influence and impact brought by the traditional tourismconcepts. The article adopted the theories of sustainable development, regionaladvantageous industry competition, and regional ecotourism system development, onthe basis of thorough understanding of ecotourism concept, to systematically analyzethe current status, advantages and restrictions for Tibetan ecotourism development,and raise a development strategy in relation. By means of a "Growth and InvestmentDeficiency" thinking model, it can be seen that Tibet has encountered a fund shortagein traffic, facilities, and services construction on its way of ecotourism development.So, Tibetan is orienting ecotourism to an exclusive and highly qualified " Landscapeof the World" ecotourism wonder, a world known "Shambhala" ecotourism paradise.Therefore, Tibet should focus on a leading small-scale ecotourism model, and aninnovation oriented and image driven development concept on its ecotourismdevelopment, and work out a series of feasible developing measures in accordancewith ecotourism resources development, environment protection, management andexecution, marketing, etc.
