With the continuously deepenment of market economy,the gardual formation ofcompetitie mechanism in the electricity market,and the need of social service, the thoughtof service marketing pounds the traditional model of rural electricity marketing.the functionof service strategy becomes more and more obrious under the background of expandingelectricity saling market.service,as a kind of maragement strategy,is in its infancy in theelectricity industry.This paper explains the background,structure,present situation of electricity,detailedlyanalyses the situation of service marketing in rural electricity so that building the system ofservice marketing in rural electricity and operating well is an useful way of expanding therural electricity market.Also,this paper demonstrates the necessarity and feasibility of establishing servicemarketing in modern rural electricity,according to some theories including the theory of service marketservice qualitymanagement,the theory of service marketing triangle and the theory of service marketingconstitution.It also finds the questions of rural electricity marketing through studying practicalcase,and puts forword the measurs of building service marketing system in mordern ruralelectricity.
