| Ocean shipping is an important part of transportation, and can't be replaced by other type especially for foreign trade. Since the reform and open policy, China shipping education has made rapid progress, and afforded many elites for the ocean shipping transportation. While the structure of the world economic and international trade has changed so much, the competition in science and technology becomes more drastic, and China will join in WTO soon, China shipping education now can't adapt to the new situation. At the same time, the reform and development of shipping education have to abide by STCW. Our shipping education faces enormous challenge in the condition of the further amendment of STCW and the eastward movement of the international shipping center and the international shipping worker market. All of these not only put forward high requirement, but also provide opportunity to China shipping education. This paper analyses the history and the status quo of Chinese sailor education, discusses the opportunity and the challenge, compares the foreign and domestic shipping education, and foresees the demand for the domestic sailors by the quantitative analysis. Based on the above analysis, we put forward the whole planning program for Chinese sailors.Nowadays, along with the speed of the world economic integral continuously accelerated, China's shipping industry has got substantial development, and becoming one of a pillar industries of the national economy. For realizes to set up our country from a big shipping nation to a great power shipping nation, China reed a large number of shipping professional But the human resource of shipping industry now in China is critical lack, and it has been affecting China's shipping industry fleetly expended. |
