Analysis On The Development Process And Trend Of Changchun's Urbanization

Urbanization which includes the conversion of population from rural to city, theconversion of industrial structure and distribution, and the conversion of people's value andlife style is an important structural conversion of a country or an area during the process ofmodernization. Although urbanization of our country has been accelerated since reform andopening-up. With the comparison of the industrial production value in the GDP , China wasalready an industrial nation. But from the view of the comparison of the agricultural labor,China was still the nation with the agricultural labor remaining dominant. Urbanization hasbehinds industrialization of China, social structure and economic structure was out of balance.That is the cause of many problems in China. Therefore, accelerating the process ofurbanization is not only for abolishing the policy that restrains the development of cities for along time, but also for improving the Market Mechanism, not only for fulfilling the needs thatrural people want to move to cities, but also for achieving the goals of sustainable growth ofeconomy.Therefore, this dissertation probes into the process and trend of urbanization inChangchun by applying theories and methods in relevant subjects such as urban geography,economic geography, regional economics, sociology and so on.The dissertation can be divided into three parts: prologue, main body and summarization.The main body consists of four chapters:Chapter One begins with the concept of Urbanization. This part summarizes currentresearch direction by combing to domestic and international relevant research.Chapter Two systematically concludes and summarizes the rules of development course,patterns of space expansion and new urbanization strategy of urbanization. These theoriessupport to discuss demonstrably the urbanization of Changchun.Chapter Three launches on the forming and development of Changchun's urbanization,systematically analysis the development level, summarizes the main characteristics and pointout the main existing problems.Grounded on the new trend and the background of the development of Changchun'surbanization, the last chapter probes the power mechanisms of urbanization. Grounded on thepreceding paragraphs, the last part definitudes the goals of urbanization, probes the process ofspace expansion and put forwards the new urbanization strategy at last.
