A Study About Urban Functional Classification Of Northeast China

The research of urban functional classification begins with 1920s. In these years,research of urban functional classification and economic base is one of the problems whichare researched in the field of geography,economic and society. Even though many scholarsmake clear his target, because of different conditions in every country and region ,it is hard tostandardize.With the rapid development of urbanization in China, the study about urban system isgradually improving. In the whole research, the study about urban function which is oneaspect of the urban system is lacked , particularly about each province. Combined themethods of qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, basic status, forming problemswere studied , and the measures of adjust and optimization were put forward to make thestrategy of Northeast China.Based on the mass synthetic discourse of the internal and overseas research result, drawassistance from statistical data, I will attempt to combine qualitative and quantitative analysisto devise the urban functional structure of Northeast China and systematic analysis of theirfunction.From the result of the above analysis, the author firstly put forward pertinently thegeneral methods to optimize the structural characteristics of Northeast China. Those include:1) to the great development of high-tech industries as the key to upgrading the urban functions;2) to strengthen economic advantages of urban functions. The core issues which to handle theconvergence or mutual supplementary of urban function must be resolved. 3) to establish ascientific and rational system of urban function.Urban is the strongest strength in developing of regional economic. To Analysis theurban function, we can handle the effect and trend of urban development.
