The historical beginning of our country's market economy is different from the West's, it comes by the traditional planned economy reform under the government impetus. Therefore, the transformation from the planned economy system to the socialist market economy system, requests the government economical function to transform accordingly. The research and the discussion about the transformation of government economical function is an important theory topic in current and the future from now on.This article puts the emphasis on the transformation of our government's economical function, and it is divided into four parts, The part one gives an emphatical and theoretical analysis on the government's economical function. First, the author analyzes government's economical function in theory from the different social system, suggests conditions in which our government can carry out, and then gives the reasonable connotation to our government's economical function. The part two gives an comprehensive, and deeply analysis of the process of transformative practice from the historical angle, points out the important question about the transformation of our government's economical function is that we must adapt the socialist market economy system request, transforms the government's economical status, scope and means ,and constructs the pattern .The part three analyzes the current problems and the reasons for these problems. The part four proposes some ways and countermeasures. Under the new historical conditions, we should perfect the government 's economical function, reform the government tradition's intervention way, regulate and supervise the government's economical function effectively.
